Default AOD Shifting kinda hard?

Is it normal for my AOD to shift hard when I drive normally? Its stock and has 110k miles on it

check your TV cable to make sure its not out of adjustment.

AOD's are garbage. replace it with a 5speed, or get a BUILT AOD if you have the cash.

What you are probably referring to is an AODE or 4R70W. Either of these can be used in place of the AOD, but to do so, you would need a stand alone controller like the one offered by Baumann Electronic Controls. Your car's AOD is not computer controlled, therefore you need an aftermarket computer. The AODE is much stronger than the AOD, and can handle over 400hp in stock form. The controller will allow you to customize your shifts. The 4R70W works the same, but has the added advantage of a wide ratio gear set.
