How to Fix Low Coolant Light
The low coolant light on my car would periodically come on and I fixed it by doing this.
1. Disconnect the sensor.
2.Remove the low coolant sensor from the overflow reservoir.
3.If there is frothy antifreeze wipe it off.
4.Take some sand paper (I used 220 grit) and clean the 2 metal prongs at the bottom of the sensor.
5.Reinstall the sensor and reconnect the wiring.

yeah, but if you check it in the morning and don't realize you sprung a leak...bad things can happen come the end of the day with your coolent dumping into the streets...
Just clean the sensor and keep the light...

It was a feature that came on the car and I thought it would be nice to keep it working and I wanted to share with everyone how I fixed it.

i agree to that. i only took mine out simply because it was almost broke in two, so i decided to take it out instead of buying a new one or chancing a used one. but i agree with the both of you. if its good keep it. mine was simply SOL. lol.

I wouldnt pay $80 for one and mine wasn't working so I thought I couldn't hurt it and took the sandpaper to it.
