i swapped my axles and all the bake parts from a 95 stang to my 88 but i have one problem.when i try to bolt up the caliper bracket it hits the rear of the rotor. anyone had this issue? i have the c clips on and the center pin in so the axles are in the right place. any help would be great

the '95 axles are 3/4" longer then your '88 8.8" rear & will not work! ...if that's what your attempting...

either use the left side I believe of a ford ranger axle set up or buy 5 lug axles for a fox

i read somewhere they would it just made the width wider, and the wider axles make it perfect for my 10.5 bullits to fit

In a Fox '88 8.8" rear axle? ....I understand that a "complete" '95 rear will work, bolted in as a whole, but not the case to just unbolt axles & pop into a Fox 8.8"....as I stated ^^^ axles 3/4" longer!

i have a 93 cobra that used to have 4 lug rear disc. the axles were 3/4 inch longer. i switched to 5 lug w/ the shorter axles <fox length>. the 95 axles will work in the older housing w/ all the matching hardware

i read that they work because the axle housings are the same length, but the axles are longer in order to make room for rear rotors i could be wrong though, thanks for all the help so far
