AOD Rebuild After Shift Kit Mess...Please Help
Well, my trans got messed up after putting in shift kit. I'm going to be rebuilding it but I don't know how to find out what year the trans was made. The trans is not original to the car. I have to order a rebuild kit and there's 2 different ones depending on year. I got some #'s off of it last night, but now what do I do? I've asked around and nobody seems to know. If anyone has an answer, please help. I'm stuck and need to get the kit asap.

I have 2 sets of #'s.

RF/E3SP/7006 CFD
I'm thinking one may be a casting #. The only info I've received is that the E3SP may mean '83 t-bird/cougar. Even if it's not, a rebuild kit for years 80-89 should cover it since it probably isn't in the 90-93 range.
