With the E cam I'd go with a 2400 rpm stall. The meat of your power comes in low so anything above that IMO would be a waste. I see you say you drive on the weekends but you don't drive it on the highway. I'm a bit confused unless you just tow it to the strip.

If you were to go very high on the stall you would be missing the part where your car really shines. With a 2400 stall you don't need a huge cooler. If it's a strip only car you may get a better 60' time with a high stall but after that it's a wash. If you spend any time driving on the street I think you would be a lot happier with a stall speed of 2400.
Because your cam starts coming into it's own at about 1800 rpm and really gets into the biggest part of it's torque curve right at 2400 thats where I'd leave it.

It sounds like you are looking into a Redneck Performance transmission. Is that what you are looking at? I wouldn't have the converter any higher than about 2600. An "E" cam isn't all that aggressive and you will be happy with a stall that's not too loose. If you get to big of a stall, you won't be utilizing the engines full potential. If your stall doesn't lock up untill 3500, and you are shifting at 5500-5800, that's not many rpms for 100% of your engines power to go through the tranny and down to the wheels.

I have a Redneck Performance "Loaded" C4 and it works like a beast. Reverse manual valve body, transbrake. I am running Comp Cam XFI236HR camshaft and I had them build me a 3000 stall for my application. I run my car on the street. Not daily because my truck, lets face it, is alot more comfortable to drive for me. But I don't have any trouble with my tranny, I will buy my next one from them for my next build. Them guys @ Redneck stand behind there work too. If you have a problem, don't hesitate to call them. You may end up leaving a message, but they will call you back.

I don't know the specs on your Ecam, but for the best performance, your converter should flash 200 - 300 rpms before the cam's peak torque comes in. There's a difference between advertised stall speed and the point in which the converter actuallt flashes. Redneck should be able to guide you as to what the best stall would be for your combo, based on your motor specs, weight, tire diameter, final gear ratio.....Have you called them?, they're pretty helpful.

Redneck does all of art carrs warranty work, I have a few customers running that trans, call down there and see what they like. It wont stall very high as it wont be making any huge tq figures which dictates stall speed.

While you are doing the tranny I recommend a external trans cooler and a deeper finned aluminum transmission pan. Heat is the enemy of a tranny and by installing a deeper pan it allows it to run cooler.
