Default trans temp gauge

alright well i bought one of them cyberdyne trans temp guages and i took a look and couldnt find anywhere to mount the sender, it resembles a coolant temp sender meaning it is a threaded probe. are there any plugs on a c4 trans that i could remove and put this in honestly im jus to lazy to put it up on my lift cuz i have a ton of stuff to do has anyone done this before? o btw my quote is wrong i got a 79 mercury capri right now

^^^nope.....you'll have to pull the pan down and weld a fitting in the side of the pan, and if there is not enough room, you might end up having to get an aftermarket deep sump pan

Get a aftermarket pan that already has a place for tranny temp gauge.

if its getting the temp from the bottom of the pan, that isent 100% accurate right?


couldent the gear's and such be a bit hotter then the fluid?

on the aode, not sure if the c4 is the same but there are 3 "bolts" that screw in the side of the case where fluid flows past. if it has those, find where third gear is and stick the sender in that hole, it was the same threads and all for my aode.
