Default got some starter issues, namely power to it.

When I turn the key the solenoid (relay, whatever) on the firewall clicks, the source wire on the starter solenoid has 12 volts, the solenoid works (12 volts on the source wire, ground on the big terminal) But no start. If i turn the key and short the terminals together the starter turns...what gives?

Ok, if you short the starter relay terminals together it starts? Or if you short the starter terminals together it starts?

If you have to short the relay, then replace it. They can go bad and still click, but not make contact

Ok, if you know the relay has a good ground connection (where it bolts to the fender itself) and yo have power at the starter solenoid, and it wont crank, then the starter solenoid is most likely bad. You can replace them, but I'd just get a new starter assembly

Yea I'd recommend getting a whole new start assembly rather than only the solenoid.

Did you replace the starter relay on the fender too?
