Default Cobra oil cooler on a 94 GT?

I was wondering what would be involved in putting an OEM 5.0 Cobra oil cooler on my car?

Would it be worth it? I dont rag on my car, or subject it to extreme use often. Do I even need one? I am running a 180* t-stat and convential oil.

I would just buy a aftermarket oil cooler if I was going to buy one. Oil coolers are mainly for road racing. If you don't rag on your car I don't think it is necessary.

I'm gonna say not worth it at all, infact when I pulled my motor I left it off. It's more of a coolant heater than an oil cooler lol. However if you want to install it it's pretty simple.

don't worry about one unless you plan to race the car

Alright, I'm not sure what they look like on a Cobra, but my F150 has two small hoses that come off the lower radiator hose and circulate between the oil filter, and the block. If that what the Mustang one does?

I do make a few 1/8th mile track passes every now and then, and of course let loose on the street every once and awhile. I have been comptemplating making a few laps on a track like VIR, thats what got me thinking about the oil cooler...

Summit has these

You just spin the adapter on in place of the oil filer then put the filter back on, mount the cooler in front of the radiator and hook up the hoses.
