Default GT40 head question

Sorry to bring this question up. I did do a search lookup but couldn't find the simple answer. Question is i would like to know the difference between the GT40 and GT40P heads in regards to which one will fit a carbed intake without any modifications and which one would give me optimum performance.

They both will fit a carbed intake. The gt40 p's have a smaller combustion chamber and the spark plug is on a different angle which will require you to run special headers. Here is how you can id those heads. http://sbftech.com

the p's will get you a little more power due to the smaller combustion chamber and spark plug location but could be more expensive to get new headers if you already have a set. they can fit with bbk unequal shorties with a 90 degree plug on #7.
