well i used the shifter handle from a steeda tri-ax, maybe that's why i thought it was short throw

Yeah the nice thing about these 5.0's is there is so many thing you can do to them. Your not going to have a ton of power, but they are easy to work on and a lot of fun to drive.

But like others said. Maybe do a intake mani, or headers, a full tune up is always a good idea too (fluids, plugs, cap/rotor)

Fix the tranny....

Then I would go with a full tune-up, sub-frame connecters, shifter, headers. It depends on what you want your car to do better.

Id go with a mgw short throw shifter, block off the egr, remove the smog if you can, and some dot drag tires for some traction

not trying to thread jack but since it was mentioned, has anyone used the mgw, steeda tri ax and the pro 50 shifters? if so what was best or was it just personal preference?
I had the pro 50 in my other mustang and it was pritty nice but I test drove a mustang with the steeda tri ax and it was way better in my opinion. I've never seen the mgw in person or seen any reviews

i have the MGW on my 94, love it ive also been in my friends 98 with a V10 in it, he had the steeda in his, i thought his was a little more notchy than mine. id go with the MGW everytime
