Lightbulb excuse the newb question

but what is needed to take my motor to a 331 or 347 stroker? I have it tore down now, and I'm debating putting a stroker crank in it. Can anyone give me a quick run down of what is needed....my pistons are .060 over, .20 oversized bearings......

Also, which would be easier with those pistons bored out that far? Part numbers/links would be very helpful, I've searched but couldn't find anything.

if your block is .060 scrap the stroker idea.....get another block, to stroke a 302,to 331 or 347 = change crank, pistons and rods and bore block .030

thanks for the reply.....not to question your knowlege, but why won't a .060 over block work as a stroker? It's built solid....very fresh.....I don't plan on letting it get too hot as it's a street/strip car. I know it's easy to go out and get another block.....but I got what I got ya know? Would love to know if I can just throw a $2-300 crank in it and go with it.

I mean maybe it wouldn't be wise to spray or boost with a .060 over block, but if I can stroke it, I'll get to the power level I want N/A.....about 350 rwhp....jussst enough to give those ls1s trouble

you won't be able to just throw a crank in it and call it a stroker, you need rods, pistons, and crank and whole assembley needs to balanced, and you'll need a 28 oz damper and matching flywheel, expect to spend 1500 easily to make a stroker

You should get a block and have take it to a machine shop and have all of the necessary work done to it. You should order a whole rotating assembly because they already come balanced. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...E&autoview=sku
