Just thinking for a moment here, but this may be a dumb question, but a good one, how do I get the bolts out since they're stripped, put it this way, there is no way I'm getting a socket wrench over the ends.

do you actually have the intake off the car? or are you trying to unbolt the TB/EGR first before you take the plenum off? if so you can take it all off as one unit and worry about it when you get ready to finish up. easier to work on that when its off the car.

you'll be able to get it running great without a dyno tune or tuning device. BTW, if this is your first time around on the car you may want to pick up a chilton for you car. great reference for the easy stuff and some complicated stuff. also teaches you a few "text book" procedures you should learn

Yes, the intake is off the car, as stated before lol. I also have a pretty good writeup that I was linked to on this site a year or so ago (see some of us know how to use the search button lol) I also have a haynes manual. I've been inside my engine bay many times, this is just the first time I've worked on the intake/head part of the car, however I have done work on a go kart dealing with it's carb, as well as several lawn mowers at work, so I'm not entirely new to engines, just fuel injected. I'll tinker around with the intake today and see if I can get those bolts out of there.

the haynes manual should show you how the bolts come off does it not? if you see how they come off and you are unable to get a socket or whatnot over the nut or bolt then its probably stripped. you'd wanna get a bolt extractor from autozone. i had to do that with my fuel rail mounts on the lower intake. 1 of the bolts snapped off once.
