I know the LX is sopposed to be fast but how much faster? 0-60 and 1/4th mile...?

It's what? 200lbs difference max between LX and GT fastbacks, or so. Unless you're serious about drag racing, I'd go for whichever one you like the looks of best.

probably, but when you start adding horsepower and the numbers at the track and your friends with the imports or the other mustangs are next to you, that 200lbs are gona help you pull away from them.

track is one thing but those imports that drive around down all primered one 1 side w/ green fenders and a whit wing and front clip will be double clown'd if you pull up next to them shining in both looks and performance. as a matter of fact i just SMOKED an lx that was "raced out" and i had 19" cobras on my car to his stock 15'"ers. that guy was huffy after i passed and said nice car... when u gunna fix it! GT is teh way to go if you are not strictly track in my opinion. Looks way more aggressive and the interior features like a gas light oil light stuff like that make a differance in overall driveability.. just my opinion as allways.
