i plugged my new one in last night, just to see if it worked. I erased the codes before starting. Also I didn't rev it to 3000 while the test was running. The only codes that came up were 12, 41, and 91(i think). There will probably be more if I do it right. If I can get time tonight, I will do a full test.

I got tolooking around on some forums and may have found a solution. What this person did is run a ground strap from the h-pipe and header to the body. He said it fixed his code problem. He said the 02 sensors don't have a ground wire and use the ground of the header to the block. After the headers become rusty, they don't have a good ground anymore. Running the ground strap gives them a direct ground to the body. I am going to purchase some today and see what happens. I will let you know the results.

thats just silly. you dont ground your exhaust. its a block to ground strap.

did you really run codes? you said..."full test" how can you do a half test? you either do it or you dont.

I don't have a shop and some company pulled in the yard while I was doing it. The numbers started repeating so, I cut the car off. I had just bought the scanner and wanted to see if it worked.

I will find the link to what I am talking about. It may not be true. What it made me think about were those tag lights that only use one wire. A quick google search showed some o2 sensors use the exhaust as a ground.

Although, I am not going to try it now. A friend told me he would give me a pair of those BBK shorty blued headers if I list his race car/show car for sale on the internet for him. We'll see what happens after i replace the exhaust. I will try to find a link to what i am talking about. It is just weird that this guys car ran the same codes as me and what he did worked.

http://forums.corral.net/forums/show...hlight=code+41

here is the link

this explained my problem exactly except after the car warms up to operating temp for a long time, it won't turn over 5200 rpm. i thought the fuel pump was going bad and not supplying the fuel pressure it needed after getting hot.

i also had 41 and 91 codes. they can be from an exhaust leak before the o2. it can be from the o2 sensor itself not being screwed all the way into the bung(this was my problem) the o2 bung may be leaking. your o2's may even be bad.

That could very well be it. I thought I may have heard an exhaust leak. It is hard to tell because the mufflers are rusted into where the steel straps wraps around them. We will see if it works next week week. i am going to get the headers this weekend.
