Lol. i realized this mjr46. silly me. this has been a good topic for discussion. since I'm not looking for crazy HP gains, I think I'll stick with the E7's i have and do a little work to them. my friend said the E7 is a strong head with some room to grow. granted other heads may be better, but it all depends what your looking to get out of it. I'm looking between 325 and 375 HP after I'm done with it. this is all after i do gears, driveshaft, H/C/I, TB, and mass air, and I'm confident I'll be somewhere in that range. hey, what do you guys think about the monster miata? i think its a go cart on steroids, but looks friggin sweet. potentially my next project, but not for a while. first things first.

That thumper package is kind of a rip off man you find a shop and or buy the packages he offers for half of what he wants I wouldn't spend 1200 bucks on pumping out e7s plus a tfs stage one cam thats a ripoff!

you'll have to switch to a better head for sure cause if you ported the e7's and put bigger valves it'd still be a loss of money better spent towards aluminum heads

First, I was not refering to any packages.
Second, $600-700 for a properly ported set of E7's, GT-40, or GT-40P's (with core) that includes proper valve parts and machining, is not a rip off.

How much do you think it cost you to machine, port, and install proper parts on a set of heads?
