Default Gas tank swap

Does anyone know if the 94/95 tanks will fit in a fox? Or better yet the pick up and sending unit fit in a fox tank? I know they are close in shape.

Why do you ask?

When I do my interior swap to a sn interior I want to use a stock gauge cluster if possible and I can't use a fox sending unit and get a correct fuel level reading. Also the pick up tube is bigger in diameter and as everyone knows bigger fuel lines are needed for bigger setups . And yea I know aftermarket gauges and all that but I want stock (terminator, mach,or bullitt gauge cluster probably).

look up tanks at 5.0 resto.com as well as senders and see what years they cover, that should answer the question

Well thank you for giving the obvious I didn't think about doing that I usually do lol. Tanks are 84-97 (EFI's), tank straps are the same, and obviously sending units are different from 93 to 94. They just don't sell the pickups (pump mount basicly) JUNKYARD! So I guess I am gonna replace my tank, get a sn sending unit and run the rubber line for a pickup that I already have and be set for what I have.

FYI! Latemodel now sells tanks sumps that you can weld in yourself with either 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch fittings!!!!

You can buy a pickup for about 100 dollars that is for use with an external pum for your tank. It goes right in where the old one was. It has a 10an outlet and a 6an return. I got one of these for mine because I didn't want a fuel cell in this car. I used an adapter to bring it down to 8an line and plugged the return. Here is a link if interested.

I believe the sn pick up is a -10 outlet to. I wish I could find the article one of the magazines.

Good find though port, thank you. I was gonna maked my own fuel lines this time when I come back and that wouls be perfect and I don't have to buy a new tank bc I already have a EFI tank on the car. I just need to take a wite brush to it to clean some small surface rust spots
