5.0 swap....
hey guys what's goin on? i just wanted to ask a ? about my car. well i have a '86 notch with a 3.8l v6 (TBI) and i want to put a 5.0 engine that i have it's carb so by any chance how would i run this motor since it's carb? and my car is TBI and if so do i have to bypass the return line for the fuel and anything else i would have to do so i can run this engine? THANKS!!!!

Nope, you can replace it with a low pressure one though. EFI cars run much higher fuel pressures than a carbed car. Carbed cars tend to run up to 6psi tops for naturally aspirated set ups. EFI cars tend to run 30+ psi as a base setting.
Another option would be to, get a pick up for your tank, and run a mechanical pump, that is engine mounted.

well the motor i have was oringinally a fuel injection engine out of an '88 gt, but i changed it over to carb so i would be able to run it on my '84 gt, but now i wanna put it in my '86 so the motor doesn't have an engine mounted pump...

You could run the one that came with the cfi you would just need an adjustable regulator with a return feed.
That CFI is something like 13psi.Not much different than the holley blue pump its just not been dead headed like the holley. For what a good mechanical or electric pump will cost you could just get the necessary regulator.
As for ignition nothing beats an old DURASPARK 2 setup and the entire setup can be had for 50 bucks at any auto parts store excluding the coil. The duraspark 2 is very reliable and easily tuned and recurved.
Other than that its just a simple swap from the 3.8 to the 5.0.For a mild 5.0 even the radiator if in good condition will be fine.

well where can i purchase an adjustable regulator and roughly how much?
how would i run the fuel line and the return line to the carb? i notice there is two lines that run to the CFI.
as for the duraspark do i have to modify anything or does it just bolt right in?
