Default Tricks of the Trade

Hey fellow Stangers! i was wondering of any of you guys have any "secret tips" that can give you a little more bang out of your car. like a larger spacer size of some kind or anthing that would be out of the ordinary that has worked well for you. i know that everyones car has its own personality..was just interested to see what our ingenuity can come up with..

Air Silencer removal, bumped timing, drop weight, tune up, short belt (delete smog if applicable).
There's also something you can do on automatics that changes the throttle response or something that will allow you to chirp tires when you downshfit on the freeway. Sorry the description's vague, but I have a 5 speed so I've never had to worry about it.
Also, there's some stuff out called Machtane that's 96% Ethyl alcohol, and you can feel the difference, unlike most octane boosters. It also gives you about 40 miles more to a tank of gas
