You could try with one jack, but you might have a hell of a time lining up the bolt holes with only one jack. I obviously used 2 jacks.

I used a tapered pry bar end to help line up the bolt holes so I could install the bolts.

I hope you've come to the conclusion that installing the front springs by "pushing" the spring in the perch is f**cking dangerous. You'll be glad you went this route instead. SO MUCH EASIER!

This is the spring compressor you would need to rent and do it safely.

I've not so much come to the conlcusion that its dangerous( i can understand that though), but I've realized its damn near impossible to push the springs in there. All the input is much appreciated. I will post completed pics later. And will come back here if I run into other problems. I might just go and tackle the rears tonight and do the fronts tomorow.

these are lowering springs correct? if so then it shouldnt be necessary to take anything else apart that you dont already. take a prybar..not a small one either, i used a 4 foot long bar, either you, or have someone hold the control arm as far down as you can get it with their foot, place prybar into the spring bucket, and just pry it in, its really not difficult. ive put cut springs back in mine, 4 cyl springs(uncut) into mine, and the eibach sportline kit in my buddies 95. and no time of those did i do anything differnt than just the prybar.

Interior spring compressor worked great for me. Just installed drag springs all the way round, along with spool,c clip eliminator, axles, shocks and struts. Only problem I ran into was used to be a 4cyl. and the spindle arm where the strut bolts is thicker then on a 5.0
Had to shave it down a little

...how tall do those springs measure total height? if its 11" or less you should be able to shove them in there and jack up the A arm without issue.

i got it in fine with a floor jack. it would be a lot easier with a second person to help suport it as you jack the spindle back into place...dont be such a vag lol

Reconnect the knuckle to the LCA, disconnect the LCA from the k-memeber, then jack the LCA and the spring into place and reconnect the LCA bolts.

listen to this guy. its exactly how i've put springs in mine and works everytime. And i've done it mutiple times.

Why put everything back together?/ just get a prybar, i used a 1 1/2 ft one but its way easier with a 3-4 ft one. YOu stick the pry bar under the spring and through the hole in the control arm and lift up til it sits into place in the back groove. Then hold the pry bar with one hand and use the other hand to jack up the control arm (that was already in place under the ball joint area). Jack it up 4 or 5 inches and the spring should sit in place. then jack up the CA until the strut bolts line up.
