engine temp question

RE: engine temp question
Use some wetter water from red line. That will cool down the car a little. and use a 180 termesta. Check and make sure all your clamps are tight and get your cap tested to make sure that's it's holding pressure. Mine runs right around the O all the time.

RE: engine temp question
Mine runs about 1/2 all the time, but when I turn on the lights it goes up to 3/4. I don't think anything of it, but after I turn off the engine, it smells like the engine is overheating; however, I had a leak several months ago, so coolant went all over my engine. I fixed that problem, but could that coolant still be burning off?
Tim, I assume new radiator/waterpump, in which case it could be the leaky pipes (it was on mine) or maybe just not enough air getting to the radiator (fan clutch...?I guess?).
