Default Paxton SC with my setup

I will start with my mods. cai, 73mm maf, 70mm bbk tb and egr, I gasket matched my gt40 upper and lower. That is it for the top end. Now my question is with the Paxton Novi 1220 SL running 6lbs of boost will I need more fuel than what I have. I have a 190lb hr fuel pump and 24lb injectors waiting to go on. With the FMU that comes with the SC will I have enough fuel. Also how important is it to get a tune with this setup and what do I need for a tune. If I won't have enough fuel than I might as well put some money into the gt40p heads I have and buy some 42lbers. I would like to spend as little money as possible without compromising to much performance.

well the fmu i believe is set up for 19lb injectors, you may run a little lean on the top end of the rpm range.... but you COULD get away with it

is there a way you can upgrade the FMU or just not run it, or what? i have a vortech s-trim to put on mine, and i have no clue about the fmu kits. so not to steal the thread or anything, but can you just not use it upgrade it to 24lb.

Do you know if I can just get an FMU that is calibrated for 24lbers. I guess that would be a good question for paxton themselves. So say I can, with my current setup would I still run lean with 24lbers.

no, you would be good with 24's for sure. imo, youd be good with the stockers, but may be running at max duty, so with the 24's you'll have more room for more mods

Yes, you can get a disk that is recalibrated for the 24lb injectors. Vortech or an SC store sell it for under $40.

Thanks for the info. I will go with the SC and the 24lb injectors. But in order for me to get it tuned what do I need. Do I need a management device or tuner, or do I just take it to the dyno and they have the equipment. Sorry for the tuning questions but I mostly deal with suspension and chassis components.

They will burn you a chip since you have the obd 1 but you cant upgrade a whole lot more without a tune again thats why the older versions like mine suck unless if you buy tuning then they will tune the car and save the settings
