Cam Question
i love the sound of a pushrod motor camming. i want to make my 95 5.0 cam hard but still have good driveabilty? comp has a .613 lift cam but its a solid roller cam. what is the down side of using a solid roller cam on the street? what would you suggest for a good cam for what i want to do?

wow... .613? thats huge dude.(for a street car) you probably wont get that in with any stock 302 bottom end.
i notice your name has 347 in it. what are you currently running? to give us a better idea of what to suggest for you.
drawbacks to solid roller, periodic RR adjustment and excess cam bearing wear.

Guys, stop posting madness. Yes this guy has no idea what he is doing and therefore thats understandable, but as far as frequent adjustments and cam bearings issues, this is 110% false. Now if you have run solid roller stuff on the street by all means what was your experience? I have for the last 12 years.
