note to self, stay away from stainless steel. so do you think the kit would be any better if they used the stainless steel with a mill finish??? what if they used ceramic coating? sorry im so dumb with turbo systems. i only know nitrous

There's nothing wrong with 304 grade stainless. Thin wall with any type of metal isn't a great idea. I never use anything but thickwall whether it's stainless or mild steel, keep in mind on top of having to support a heavy turbo & some of the exhaust you also have the thermal expansion coming into play. Crossover pipes can lengthen up to 3/4" at wot temps which puts a great deal of stress on the setup, obviously you can guess which is going to give between the block or the piping. They did a good thing by putting a flex joint into the crossover but that's not the only place it occurs. Using thinwall piping is a bad idea no matter what the grade of metal.
I wouldn't advise coating or wrap with stainless. Stainless steel has better heat retention than coated or wrapped mild steel so there's not as much of a need for it, coating it or wrapping it will cause it to weaken the metal. With mild steel I would recommend either coating (on the inside & out if possible) or wrap to help keep the heat inside. I'm not much on wrap though.
Stay away from any kit with very thin plumbing
