rember its not how it sounds, its how it runs, my lunati sounds almost stock at idle but when you hit 2200 thats when my power band starts its a major diff, it pulls a lot better than stock. the thing i like the most is at the line you cant tell, then after you get going the person that was next to you is history lol

I agree with vfast, but I like to be sneaky. If you guys go with some huge cam based upon the sound, you will lose a ton of low end torque, lose vacume (this affects your power brakes) and the car will generally suck to drive.Oh yea and if you don't have enough supporting mods the car will actually be slower.(I love to race over cammed cars, I make them look silly). The e-cam will work nice if you plan on upgrading things like the intake/heads/exhaust somtime down the road, but remember you won't get the full power of it untill all the other mods are done. Personally I would keep your stock cam untill you do a head swap, the guys running NMRA Factory Stock are limited to a stock 5.0 cam and they run in the mid-high 11's.

As was mentioned, bigger cams aren't necessarily better. It's how your HP/TQ curves look. It's the whole package (cam and supporting mods) that make a difference.

The more info we have the better the suggesttion will be. As for gears I asked because if you tell me that you want to run a 3.73 gear then the cam I suggest would be smaller, if you said 4.10 then we could look at a different cam yet again. I think you will be happy with a cam around the 218/222 duration @.50 and in the area of .530 lift, stay around a 113-115 lsa, and you will get alittle lope but nothing too bad. When get ready to actually buy the cam, call the cam company's tech line and talk to them about what cam they reccomend, they are usually pretty close, but they do tend to er on the small side because everybody wants a cam thats too big.
