T-5 Tranny Help

I just recently did a AOD to T-5 swap on my 91 fox. I got the tranny and all pieces from a 89 fox. My question, is there a difference in the size of the throwout (release) bearing? I got a new one but it was for a 91 T-5 instead of a 89. My problem is once the tranny is all together there is alot of play in the fork and the bearing doesnt start to contact the pressure plate until about mid travel. If someone could please help I would really appreciate it. Thanks

throw out bearings are the same......clutch pedal is equipped with a self adjuster and is activated by pulling up on the clutch pedal and pushing down on it until free play is removed:)

Thanks for your response Mjr46. I forgot to mention that it has a UPR quadrant and a King cobra clutch. I just recently tried a steeda adjustable cable and that helped a little but you can push the pedal down by hand until about 2 inches from floor than it gets tension. With pedal mashed to the floor the fork only moves about 40% of the way. The cable is all out of adjustment. Do you think I need a Firewall adjuster also? Any feed back would be great. Thanks Stang1476
