Default 95 to 93 engine swap

My friend has a 93 5.0 with only 40k on it with a S-trim SC. Im thinking of getting it, is this a good idea or not? He wants $1500 for everything.

As Stanglx2002 mentioned, the 93 5.0's don't have forged pistons, which you really should have with any power adder (turbo, blower, nitrous, etc.). The stock hypereutectic pistons are actually better than forged if no power adder is used, but that's it. Once you start adding more power, you should have forged pistons.

So the 1st thing you want to ask your friend is, have the pistons been changed to forged pistons? If not, I personnally wouldn't buy it.
