I have used a AOD flex on all that I have swapped. I have done a good many for customers. 164 tooth 50oz bal. your trans will be a 26 spline.you will need the 11 1/2 bolt pattern everyone seems to have a different measurement but get the big one NOT the small one.

157 tooth flexplate is for the small bellhousing c4 with a 10.5 bolt pattern on the TC
164 tooth flexplate is for the large bellhousing c4 and c5's that have the 11.5 pattern

If your motor is a 84 like your car then you need a 50oz imbalance.

It was just the photo that throws the picture off. When I saw the photo I had to run back out and look at the line. Its just the way the light hit it. I was wondering how long it would take before someone said something about it, lol. Thanks for noticing.

The bolt pattern we have refered to is the bolts on the torque conveter going diagonally.

Take off the bell, lay if flat (block side down) and measure the depth. I believe it is from the floor to the inside edge.

If it is case fill there will be a hole right behind the bell on the passenger side.

I wasn't trying to be negative by any means. Only reason I noticed is the fact that I did it to mine. I ended up going to a transmission shop and had Mr. Keith bend me a couple of short radius 90's because my tubing bender wasn't able to make the bends without smashing or kinking the tubing.

I appreciate the link. That's gonna help a lot. How do I tell what year it is? I want to install a shift kit but the Jegs listings say, 67-69 or 70-82. You know where I look to find the casting number that tells the year?

I have a problem, I have a hole right behind the bell that looks like it is for a dipstick BUT the hole does not go into the pan also there is no threaded hole on the side of the pan for a dipstick, is it possible the guy I bought the tranny from put the wrong pan on?
