Default 5spd hard to get in/out of gear....

its a T-5 WC thats just recently been rebuilt all new syncro's and everything.....when Ever its I first start to drive the car from starting it up its very difficult to shift.... but as soon as my car gets up to operational temp it seems to shift "ok" it shouldn't be doing this right?

it shouldn't do that, I'd make sure clutch adjustment is okay and proper fluid was used= atf/ dextron III

Yep use ATF someguys use gear oil and they have the cold shift problems....

yea i used ATF.... i guess I'll keep messing with the adjustment and see where that gets me thanks

have you messed with any of your clutch adjustments? you may have used atf but does it say what types of trans they are for? when i went to autozone to get the dexIII i looked at the atf and i found one brand there that was not for ford tansmissions.

? do you mean the plastic top hot that goes into the shift block?

yes the bottom of the shifter goes into it. i had my tranny rebuilt tooand the bushing was never reinstalled when the tranny was put back in and caused similiar problems to the ones listed

....i dont think so. it doesnt assist with shifting. just eliminates some vibration and keep the shifter handle from wiggling around like crazy. it wont increase the difficulty of putting it into gear, just harder to find the gear for a newb.
