my car came with mac shories when i bought it, they had a plate welded on one on the tubes with MAC direct factory replacement stamped into it mine were stainless but looked like the ones in the link you posted. my plate thing fell off eventually though so maybe that what yers are and the name plate fell off

well no, cause the plate is still there...does anyone know if the MAC shorty's have anything on the rectangular stamp? because it doesnt look like theres anything on mine. just a flat peice of metal.

yea, when i got them they were painted semigloss black, and i wire brushed them and ceramic blacked them. me and my stepdad tried to look on the stamp and it was rly hard to see that there was anything there. its a possibility that they were filled. so are the MAC's an OEM replacement?

they are direct replacement fit, they flow better than stock, but are desighned to boltin and fit like the stockers. i hope that made sense

well its not so much that they suck so much, they are better then the old cast iron manafolds. The aftermarket headers flow better yet

yea i gotcha, i think im just getting caught up in some confusion because the MAC's and the stock shortys look so identical, and basically the only difference between the two is the stock ones have the annoying bend in it for clearance? which can be restrictive, nothing compared to my step dads 440 demon, he had to smash his hooker's so he could fit that bad boy in that small space. hah
