ahh your a brave soul..after replacing my heater core I try not to even look at the darn thing.I'm afraid it'll leak..I'm quite certain if I had to fight with the hoses again and try to pull them off they would crack/break off one of the heater core tubes.

That's a good fear to have loesterca1. Wresting the connections can damage the heater core.

If you come across stubborn heater hoses again. Slice off the hose and slit the remaining piece off the nipple lengthwise.
