So i convinced my friend to get a fox since he wants a cheap car. There is a nice and clean 86 lx convertible a few miles away and i wanted to go take a look at it with him. The pictures show a carb style air cleaner. Is this stock? I thought 86 was the first year of EFI (or is this just the 5.0s?).

Anything i should look for in this car other than the usual fox rust?

efi is only for the 5.0s

86 had the same intake from 87, just a different plaque and minor port work, the plaque should look like my avatar

look for signs of a swap, and read the buck tag/door tag/vin and really a vert? nothing wrong but just so many extra problems with it

its an LX. sorry i didnt specify, i figured all 86 LX's were v6's.

this car is a V6 3.8, not a 5.0
