Changing Headers or Not

Changing Headers or Not
I have unequal length headers on the car now and i put in a 331 stroker this April i was thinking of getting some long tube headers now with the increased HP i have. I think i have enough HP to put them to use but i want your opinions.

RE: Changing Headers or Not
I think the long tubes and shorties have different peak areas. Like the shorties are for cars that normally don't see revs above 3500, while the long tubes are designed to perform in the high rpm range.
And since a stroked engine is like a smaller one reving faster with all the air its moving, you will most likely see an improvement (most likely not huge) in performance.

guys let's get real here...swaping unequal to lt's you won't feel much in the seat of the pants.....it's just minimal...lt's will help in the upper end but let's face it how often is the car seeing it..not much..and if you racing say with equal length just uncrok'em..if you want a go with another header then the step header is the sh it.... or a larger primary tube header....people get hung up on the LT'S because back in the day all the hipo cars had them..that's because we had no other header to choose from..

RE: Changing Headers or Not
the reason i asked is bc im not going a stock 5.0 anymore i have a 331 stroker pushing 400 hp not 225 hp so i thought the LT's would be needed and i would benefit i still think im going to get the LT ans sell the shorties to my dad and put 2.5 in tubes from the header to the muffler and then 3 in tail pipes
