I ordered a 347 short block from fordstrokers.com along with a set of AFR 185cc heads. I also have a set of 1.6 comp cams rocker arms and a holly 760cfm carb from my blown 289. My buddy said I shouldnt re use my old cam in a brand new engine so I need suggestions on a new cam... It will be a street car first but it will see some track time also.

What cam do you recommend for my set up? brand and duration... thanks

You could also go to your 347 short block order from fordstrokers.com, and add the item before the last one from the list, to have a custom designed to match your combo.

^^ i suggest doing that. thats what i did. jay allen knows his stuff and just like woody, has great customer service. but you should have no problem reusing a cam. as long as it doesn't look too worn out.
