Default 351 crank

ok heres nwhat i was thinking ive stripped alot of fords over the years so i have alot of parts. i have a 302 i plan to have bored out .30 over so thats what i want to use in this build i also have a set of redone 302 rods now i hear that when you use 302 rods with a 351 crank you get a pretty good stroke out of it so i figure if i get a decent set of flat top pistons with 2 valve reliefs and a good set of 351 heads with the bigger valves and runners i should make some good numbers right? plus im gonna get a nasty mid range cam so i get that rough idle with the matching lifters and springs, also ill have a highrise dual plane intake with a 650 carb, keep in mind the heads will be completely re worked. now what i need to know is what casting head do i want and what will the cubic inches come out to with the 351w crank and 302 rods and what pistons would be most suitable for this application the higher compression the better as long as it can be run on 93 octane thanks guys anything would be appreciated

heads wise, i have no idea which ones are the best.

displacement wise, it should come out to a 357. i think the only differences between the 302 and 351W were the stroke and deck height......i think...

nice 357 sounds pretty good to me now all im worried about is piston to valve clearance with the larger stroke. anyone have any ideas also mayb i would be better off with a decent set of low milage gt40 heads and jus swap the springs to match the cam and a good set of 11.6 or 1.7 roller rockers i rlly need the advice guys lol

The 351W's have 3" mains, so they are much bigger than a 221-260-289-302 main size.
I cant remember, but I dont think it will work even if they mains were cut down to fit.
The 302 block would have to be notched to clear the rods for sure though.

Your not using a windsor crank in a 302 block anytime soon. You are thinking about a 393 windsor using a 3.85 crank, stock 351 rods and 302 pistons.
