5.0L (1979-1995) Mustang Technical discussions on 5.0 Liter Mustangs within. This does not include the 5.0 from the 2011 Mustang GT. That information is in the 2005-1011 section.

Do I need anything else??

Somewhat true. These are bastard years for the eec4. I think basically this is when Ford was changing up to the eec5 processors. They are kind of a 4 and 5 mix.

They can be tuned though.

Just keep your engine timing down...10 deg....and keep good fuel in the car and keep the fuel pressure at 38 and you'll be fine!

You can do MAJOR dods to the sn-95 cars I have a friend with a 95 GT and he has a full H/C/I setup with a Vortech S-Trim,42# injectors,Track heat intake etc and drove his car awhile before he took it to have it tuned.Yes his cars Drivability Sucked not to mention his fuel mileage and He occasionally had Hot Starts where the car would Die and he would have to hold the gas petal WFO to get it to start but it still ran. Case in point, you can do Major mods to your car and still be able to drive it afterwards without fear of messing it up.Your drivability will probably Suck but it would be fine till you get it to a tuner.
