Default Replacing Ignition.. what's involved?

Just as the title says. I cannot get my ignition to break free (stuck in lock) and was wondering if 1, either of the 2 listed parts would work for my car and 2, what is all involved with replacing one? Any work I do is in a 10'x20' storage space.. so keep that in mind. Power tools (if needed) will not work. There is no electricity. Anyway.. my car is a 1980 Cobra Hatchback. It has a 5.0l now, but originally came with the 2.3l turbo.
Here are the items I found on eBay.. will either of them work? If not.. where to look?

Here is 2 more I found on latemodelrestoration.com:

You will have to get the lock cylinder to turn. One time I broke one free in a ford truck that had a key broken of in it with a screwdriver and a wrench on it. As far as buying a new one I would get one from a local parts store, it would probably be cheaper because you don't have to pay shipping, and it may even be the come from the same place supplier where LRS get theirs.

... is this my only option? I haven't even driven the car yet, so the sounds of 'breaking the ignition free' with a screw driver and wrench seems.. frightening lol. Why does the ignition have to be freed to replace it? (Just out of curiosity..)

Only one I can find at a local auto parts store. I assume this would work? Is ACDelco a good brand? I know that is what is recommended for my 98' K1500, but have no idea on a Mustang. Haven't had the car long enough to learn everything yet =)

Oh yea, and these at Autozone as well. Didn't find them the first time I looked..

The switch has to be in the on position to remove the lock cylinder.
