New to the site, And have some questions about my 1991 5.0 mustang
Hi every one. I'm trying to find the perfect build for a 11 second street car. I was thinking of a Stroker maybe 331 or 347. I already have Trick Flow Twisted Wedge Track Max Heads, I just need some ideas on a combination that might make the 11 second range achievable.

how familiar are you with fords? I would buy this book how to hotrod a mustang..it's a great read
ok a 11 sec car isn't cheap and it take a fair amt of suspension mods. but I would start with a 351 block with a 408 stroker kit...fairly reasonable priced about what a 347 would cost and the 351 block is a ton better platform to work off of. I'm no fan of those heads but with a nice 150 nx kit you should be there

I'd stroke it and have a custom cam designed and have those heads ported out for a strokers needs and grab a rpm II intake or victor and 11's with proper upporting mods, or go the S/C route, as it'll yield the less expensive senario

I have a '91 notchback. It had a solid cammed (not roller) pump gas 393 in it. The bolt ons were bbk long tube headers, victor jr heads, vic jr intake, hp 1000 carb, msd ignition. It had a c4 behind it with a too-tight torque converter and 4.10's. It would run somewhere in the neighborhood of 11.50's on slicks and pump gas, w/o nitrous. Spraying it with and 200 shot and that setup got it to 10.0's at around 136. At this point, the only suspension modifications were drag struts up front. Stock k member, stock rear control arms, etc. It also had subframe connectors and a cage. Other than the cage, there wasn't much that would have kept me from driving this car all the time. Believe it or not, the cam was small enough that it would operate the power brakes w/o a vacuum reservoir added on. There wasn't much weight cut out of the car-the a/c stuff was all still in the dashboard, the front bumper beam was still there, the power windows and locks worked, you get the idea.
I think in your case, you'll want displacement over high dollar parts. You have to have decent heads, but you needn't have the highest dollar trick stuff. Find you a used set of victor jr's or any of the other heads in the same ballpark (others here know far more than I do about the head choices) and put them on a shortblock in the 393-408" range and you should be in the 11's on pump gas with a decently well sorted out car.
