Default sideways maf?

hey everyone, Im running an 80mm mass air with 24's, but my mass air was installed sideways at 9:00 if your looking at the engine. I read on a previous post someone said to have it clocked straight up and down, does it really make a difference? I suppose it could because of the sensors and stuff but I'd like some input.. thanks

It does make a difference, when I was efi and I had it on the dyno we messed around with turning the mass air meter until it was the happiest(made most power, ran best).
