wont revv high and backfire in intake when cold gets better when warming up

can i chek codes like the F150 truck the paperclip trick? ground the connector and count the chek engine lights?


and any ideas what may cuase this?

Yea you can code check like that.

Have you checked for vacuum leaks? I had the same problem you're describing and I found that PCV had come out.

As far as high rev check for vaccum leaks or codes. Pop in intake is usually from timing. Bump #1 cylinder t.d.c. and reset you timing worked for me
