Default help me decide

so in my ten years of driving, ive had 1 turbo car which was a gsx, and 3 nitrous cars. i had horrible luck with turbo car. just seemed so complex, and was so easy for the dumbest crap to go wrong like vaccum leaks, ect. ive had nothin but great luck with nitrous cars. nitrous is so easy to tune, and everything else about it is simple. i dont really know which choice of fi is harder on your motor. i would assume it would be nitrous since its such a sudden and violent force of energy on your motor at once, unlike a turbo where you gradually build boost. i guess you could always get a nitrous controller to kinda mimic boost to help the nitrous gradually build up. anyways, i cant choose which to go with on my 5.0 i will be purchasing very soon. i know my initial goal is to make around 400-450hp on the stock motor and have it last for a lil while which means i would prob be lookin at a 250ish direct port wet shot, or about 12lbs of boost on a 70trim turbo. both just sound crazy on a stock 5.0 motor but everyone keeps tellin me that the motor would be good for it. i know that in due time, the price im going to spend on filling the bottle a few times could almost buy me a turbo kit but like i said, im such a virgin to turbo cars, especially an aftermarket turbo kit, vs being what i consider almost a vetran with nitrous. anyone want to throw there two cents in and help me out? thanks guys

One of my friend's know's a guy with a 1100hp mopar and the people that built the engine told him it would last 200 runs but with nitrous it was 100 runs. I'd say a turbo or nitrous would do about the same amount of damage to the engine to your engine. I think that 400-450hp would really be pushing the limits of the stock 5.0. Nitrous would be initially cheaper, because of the cost of the kit and the time to install it versus the turbo. Nitrous would be faster because you would not have turbo lag, and a nitrous kit would be lighter than a turbo kit. Which ever way you decide to go be sure to have the nitrous setup right and a good tune if you decide to go with a turbo.

full bolt on's, everything, H/C/I, and a 150shot will get you to your goal, no need for some 250 shot BS.

you better build the transmission and rear end too.
