Underdrive pully lie

I don't agree with tim...*L*
if you still have the old clutch fan I bet the clutch is wore out.....I would just use the crank pulley as this is where most of the power is from...it's not the pulleys fault we have a low amp alt in these cars...I use one from a f150 with an auto with the full set and no heating up, no electrical issues..
what these pulleys do alot of time is expose a exsisting issues

No problems here on mine either. Did water pump and crank pulley only. Car temp is the same.amprage is lower at idle like a old motorcycle , when you idle the lights dim when you rev up they get bright. But the battery is fine. I think if you had a battery that was older it would be a problem, also the cold. It doesnt get below 50 where I live.
I think you have a problem starting that was not noticed until you put the UDP on.
I bet you have a 20% clogged radiator or bad blades on the water pump, or the fan clutch is bad.

i just put some aluminum UD's on last week, but i only installed the crank and wp pulley. Mine temp gauge BARELY rose at idle. I do have an aluminum radiator and a 180* stat that makes it run cooler though. I won't even attemp to put the alt pulley on till i do a 3g alt uprade.
