well iam changing my upper and lower intake manifolds on my 89lx, i got the cobra one but now that i have all the old junk off do u guys have any tips for putting the new one on like do i need to replace the o rings on the injectors before i put them in the new manifold?, do i use a gasket sealer when putting on the new lower gaskets? is there anything i need to replace besides the gaskets? help me out!

I didn't do anything other than the intake. There are some vac line changes you need to make, but nothing major. It all hooks up for the most part. If you get the gasket with the cork front/back make sure you goop some serious silicone under and over the cork crap. You will not have a T/B spacer anymore so you will need to block the coolant lines from the stocker. Other than that it is pretty straight forward. The biggest pain in the *** is scraping the gaskets off the heads. When you pop off the injectors, clean and check each one, use hand lotion to lube the injector o-rings. You do not want to use any petroleum based stuff on the injectors.

I see from Rich's comment that the Cobra TB doesn't use a water jacket. Is there any advantage/disadvantage to bypassing the stock MassAir or S/D throttle body in the summer?
