Default Plz help really lean and untuned after H/C/i and gears

hey guys i put a holley cam in with these specs advertised Duration (degrees) 276 280
Duration @ 0.050” (degrees 221 223
Valve Lift (inches) 0.509 0.509
Lobe Separation Angle (degrees) 112
Opens (degrees) 3.5 BTDC 48.5 BBDC
Closes (degrees) 37.5 ABDC -5.5 ATDC

and i put a gt40 upper and lower intake on with a set of 69 iron heads that have been fully ported , flow benched and 1.9 and 1.6 valves, so i hooked up my buddys A/F reader up to it and at idle it is at 53 and then when you rev it up to around 3-4k rpm it drops to around 16 so what do i ahve to do do i need a chip or bigger injectors or do i maybe just ahve a leak somewere like the intkae? or a vacuum line or something because if u boot it from idle it hesitates and kind of bogs but when u get up in the RPM it has really good throttle response

what size injectors?? what is FP set at??

you need bigger injectors if they are stock. also adjust the fuel pressure...to make the most power you can you could always buy a chip and get it dyno tuned

By 53 and 16 what are you talking about? A real meter is going to show you a ratio... Unless you meant 53:1 and 16:1. How did you "hook" this meter up to your exhaust? Stick it in the tail pipe?

hey ya it went in the tail pipe and thats what i mean 53:1! But ya i still hvae the stock injectors but how do i change the fuel pressure and what kind of chip would u suggest

are there any speed shops near you that have a dyno? The speed shop here in Norwalk is certified with SCT so I got one of those 4 bank chips and he burned me a custom 93 octane tune i made 243whp/300ftbls with a stock engine. Made a huge difference and I dont have anything but basic bolt ons. I've never used a fuel pressure regulator, but I do know that you should get at least 24# injectors. They are easy to find

mmk ya i will get some 24s and ya mopac is certified i think so i could prfolly take it to them

dude that would be awesome. let me know what it makes on the dyno!! try and get there asap though..you can damage things if you drive it around un tuned long enough.

hmm ok i will try nd make it there next week because i wanna get the injectors first and just rip the upper inake off and make sure its not leaking because i had to get a crack welded on it and resurfaced but who knows maybe thats why itis so lean
