Default h/c/i questions

OK so i have a 89 mustang 5.0 been planning a head cam intake swap little by little I've gotten parts so far i have some gt-40 heads, typhoon intake, tfs1 cam, now I'm trying for figure out the length of the push-rods i will need as far as i know the heads have stock springs and not planning to re-use the rods. I'm sure i will also need a new timing chain (double i believe) any suggestion? thanks

stock length...I would have the springs checked and then set up for that cam..... and a nice 3 or 5 angle valve job and have them or you do it,gasket matched..

6.250 but you still should use an adjustable checker for verification.

The only way to know what length pushrods you need is to check the length using a pushrod length checker. As for the valve springs you should upgrade them to something stronger if you're going to use an aftermarket cam.

trickflow or crane beehives for the springs, you'll be floating valves with that cam and stock springs
you need to get it all set up and bolts on the rockers with the adjustable in place, then rotate the engine by hand and check the pattern on top of the valve stem
