Newbie here having major problems

good point check yer fuel lines, make sure they are not to close to exhayst or any source of heat. it could be vapor locking

okay i pulled the mechanical fuel pressure regulator off and blew threw it and i was able to drive the car for a good 20 minutes i shut the car off and then it did the same thing like the regulator is no opening up like it should im not sure of what the fuel pressure is suppose toe be going onto the carb.The only other problem im having is i have to jump the car off at the starter soleinoid on the fender i tried changing it but still did nothing with the key i just hear a click noise from the computer if anyone has had that problem it would be helpful to get that fixed as well im used to fuel injected 4cyl turbo cars lol so any information i get here i appreciate

Did you change the solenoid or the relay?

i changed the solonied on the fender that connects the battery to the starter where can i locate the relay for the starter

The fuel pressure on a carb is pretty low like ten psi or so i was thinkin you should check somewhere around your gas tank like the pump is getting hot or somethin like that

7 and 1/2 psi at max. Check to make sure your float levels are correct

okay narrowed it down as to be that the regulator is junk and im thinking that i need to do a pump swap to the v-8 pump but anyone know of a good regulator to run the carb on and have a return line set up for it as well
