I know what the code is but what does the thermactor air system do? and where is it located on the passenger side. Is it in the cabin or under the hood?
Code 96 = Fuel Pump Circuit Open-Battery To PCM (M,O) .... not a thermactor code. It means the ECM is not detecting the the FP is on when it's supposed to through pin 19 FPM signal at the ECM.

in my book it says:thermactor air system problem-right (passenger) side air flow will not bypass or, fuel pump(fp) circuit failure or, high speed fuel pump relay circuit failure.
