Default Buying a Mustang - Please Help!

Hello. I am currently searching for a Mustang. Looking to spend around $10,000, and am unsure of what to get. Obviously used, and looking for under 50K miles and over the year 2000. My main want is speed. Any help, year wise? Regular or GT? What should I look for? Convertible or not? Thanks!

Like Ryan implied.. this is the 5.0 forum, and this engine ended in 95. You are in the market for a 4.6L with 2000+ (but 1999 is the same style). Get a GT, non vert, 5spd. You can get a nice 99+ GT easily for under 10k.

To heck with 2000+

Spend 2k on a Fox, get h/c/i, blower and suspension/sticky tires with leftovers and say hello to a bitchin car!
