Default Slow to Accelerate not sure whats up???HELP ME PLEASE!

Last night I put on my new MSD wires and new plat. plugs. Also a MSD cap and rotor. Then I installed the 76mm C&L MAF system. My car acted like this a little before I added this stuff so I dont think it has anything to do with the new additions since the problem was there before. Seems like at all speeds and gears when I get on it it seems a little hesitent then will start to get it not sure what would cause that. The throttle body looked clean and the MAF sensor looked ok but I gues maybe both and the IAC would be worth a little carb cleaner??? Any other ideas I can look into maybe timing? I am planning on changing the fuel filter soon too not sure if that will do anything just part of the tune up I was going to do anyway. Its like its slow to accelerate when giving it gas the response time is slow to get going when on the gas.

I have 302 stock motor, MSD wires cap and rotor, new plugs, 76mm C&L MAF system, flowmaster exhaust no cats, and a new cooling system all I have done.

First of all, get rid of the platinum plugs and switch to Autolite 25's. Also, do you have bigger injectors to go with that 76mm MAF setup?

Yeah, mine too. Mine also backfires and won't rev under full throttle - it just kindaq bogs unless I back off the throttle to where the rpms are and then it will catch (just like dumping to much fuel into it). I suspect the ignition, like maybe a weak spark, but I've already swapped out the coil so that's not it. I'm leaning towards TFI or PIP but I gottat throw the timing light on it first. I'll let you know what I find.

My MAF system is set for my stock injectors. I think I could upgrade to 24 but it wont fix my problem I dont think since this problem was there before any of the add ons. I think i need to clean IAC, MAF, and check the TPS voltage. That may fix my problem. I am also going to finish my tuneup with a new fuel filter I have yet to install. Then maybe she will be a little smoother

Well, I feel like a total idiot. I finally checked the timing last night and lo 'n behold, I was runing at about 10 degrees AFTER TDC! I set it to 12 BTDC and it runs great! I haven't done anymore driving on it but I did take it for a spin around the block under it's own power and it felt pretty good! I guess I shoulda checked the obvious first!

I ran into this problem on my 1994. It took me a while to figure out with the problem was. Do you have a check engine light on? I put the C&L on my car and it hesitated then cleared up and made no power past 4000 rpms. i put factory intake back on, same problem, but ran a little better. If this is what yours sounds like, check your TP sensor. While i was swapping them, the little spacer that sits under it was crooked. It was making it run sluggish. And also, a little advice.. They say the C&L with the right calibration for your injectors will run fine, thats not true. You need a tune. First hand experience and call any shop. So check TP sensor and take C&L off and see if it clears it up.
