How to make my '93 sound good
Ok, so I am about to put a '93 5.0 HO in my 1966 Mustang. The engine and transmission (AOD) are stock from a '93. I am putting 3.55 gears in the rear.
I want this car to sound good and strong. Keeping in mind that this is going in my '66, any ideas out there? |
There's alot of quality exhaust/muffler choices. Best bet is to do a search on exhaust clips or log onto manufacturer websites and pick the sound you like. I run BBK shorties w/pipes catted x and violator cat back on my 93GT and really like it, but everyone has their own taste.

it's not a 93 but I like the way this car sounds it's got bbk e/l shorty headers bbk o/r h-pipe and flowmasters

i RAN Flowmasters on my 66 and they sounded good:)

I just put dumped flow's on my 93 with bbk equal length shorties and bbk o/r h-pipe, and it is loud. Sounds great though. I have dynomax on my 87 and it also sounds pretty good, but the flows are way louder.

in my opinion mac cat back's sound the best

... as you can tell... no-one really agrees on any 1 or 2 exhaust systems haha
Just check out youtube for clips, and pick what you want. Search "Mustang 5.0 exhaust" or something like that, it'll keep you busy for awhile! |
Ive got bbk 1-5/8" LT, offroad H-pipe and flowbastards on my 93 with a B303 cam. Thing sounds wicked at WOT. It used to have BBK unequal shorties on it and it was loud at idle but didnt come alive with rpms.

magnaflow cat back systems??? Sorta pricey but sound aggressive.

what about long tube headers are the worth the money and do they add more hp than equal lenghth shorties
