Default 88 lx mustang probs!

welp i just bought this stang bout a week ago and ive been trying to get this random miss to go away and a sputer aswell....Well first off this car is not fuelinjected it is now a carberated 302 with trick flow cam,elderbrock mainfold and 4bbl carb,headers etc...to fix these probs ive did the following...Change disributor and points and cap button etc..eletric fuel pump,wires and plugs and tried adjusting the carb changed fuel lines and filter and it still does it!i need some help really bad!!!!

you may need to tune the carb, when dealing with hesitations on carbed cars it's important to know when the hesitation occurs so you know what circuit on the carb to turn.....ie...hesitation off idle, at cruise, light acceleration, part throttle hesitation..ect ect......

i took it to one of the top mechanics in my county and he said my peformer carb needs to be rebuilt so ive bought the rebuild kit....but i have another question my engine makes a noise and its sounds like a low low knock noise kinda hard to explain idk if its internal or what any sugestions?its a 70's 302 engine.

without hearing it , it could be internal or not?? as for carb..hmmmm...there really isn't much to rebuild on an eddy carb, trust me , I have 2 of them, so how'd he diagnosis the prob??

he was my fathers mechanic since back in the day b4 my dad past away and my father only had fords and the way it acts he sed the carb needs to be rebuilt when u rev the engine u can hear it mess like a cut off in fuel but ive replace the whole ignition set up from coil plugs racing wires and disributor points condutor etc.. and that carb has probly been on the car 4 awhile and i just cant afford another eldelbrock atm i go to college for autobody everyday till 5pm and dnt have much time to fool with it he cut me a real deal 125 bux to put on a new lokar carb braket throttle line and kick down cable all from lokar plus rebuild my carb and adjust it what else could it be?

check the accelerator pump circuit, there are three holes in the arm, try putting the rod in the one closest to the carb body

ok u both have lost me really plunger?and what arm is it on the carb or?and this is a manual choke carb if that helps any at all

front left corner on the top, you'll see it moke up and down everytime yu open and close the throttle, it's on a linkage rod with three holes = adjustable stroke

and by adjusting this what would it do?and another queston i have a c thru filter to c what going on sometimes i have a filter full of fuel and other times ive got half or less than half thats got me confused cuz its a submursable pump which should have bout 40psi of fuel pumping and i dont get y it only has half a line of fuel whn some times it as a whole filter full?
